About The Position

Kentro is hiring for a People Systems and Process Analyst to support the Corporate People Services Operations Department. The People Systems & Process Analyst serves as a senior functional resource for UKG Pro and related HR systems across the employee lifecycle. This position is responsible for system configuration, reporting, data integrity, testing, process improvement, and cross-functional issue resolution, while technical platform ownership, infrastructure, and system architecture remain within the Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a proactive builder who takes initiative, identifies process improvement opportunities, and partners across HR and technical teams to create scalable HRIS solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. The position is remote within the U.S., with a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office for employees located in the DMV area (DC, MD, or VA). Remote employees may be required to travel occasionally to headquarters in the DMV.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS, People Systems, HR operations, HR technology, or related roles, with demonstrated hands-on responsibility for system configuration, support, and process improvement.
Hands-on experience administering and configuring UKG Pro, UKG, UltiPro, or a comparable enterprise HRIS/HCM platform, including workflows, business rules, fields, forms, reporting, and other functional system configurations.
Demonstrated experience evaluating end-to-end business processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and implementing practical system, workflow, or process improvements.
Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, strengthen controls, and create more scalable HR processes.
Strong knowledge of HR data structures, employee lifecycle events, organizational hierarchies, system dependencies, and core HR business processes.
Demonstrated experience with reporting, data validation, reconciliation, audits, exception reporting, and root-cause analysis across multiple HR systems and functional areas.
Experience translating business and operational needs into system requirements, configuration changes, workflows, reporting solutions, or other functional enhancements.
Experience supporting system testing, upgrades, releases, enhancements, integrations, and configuration changes in a structured environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues, identify root causes, evaluate options, and implement sustainable solutions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated commitment to data integrity, process consistency, and quality.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, take ownership of issues through resolution, and operate effectively in a growing and evolving environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, IT, and business teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting Talent Acquisition systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting workflows, and onboarding processes, including iCIMS, Greenhouse, Workday Recruiting, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of Payroll, Benefits, timekeeping, and other downstream HR processes and data dependencies, with an understanding of how upstream system or process changes may impact related functions.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL, reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, or other tools used to analyze, validate, and automate HR data and reporting processes.
Experience identifying and implementing workflow automation, process improvements, or system-based solutions that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Experience analyzing cross-functional processes and system handoffs to identify gaps, duplicate activities, data issues, and opportunities for simplification or automation.
Experience supporting audit requests, compliance reporting, internal controls, or data governance activities related to HR data and systems.
Familiarity with system integrations, data feeds, APIs, file-based interfaces, or other methods of exchanging data between HR and downstream systems.
Experience working in a growing or evolving organization where systems and processes require ongoing development, standardization, and optimization.

Responsibilities

Configure, administer, and optimize UKG Pro and related HR systems, including workflows, forms, fields, business rules, tables, notifications, and other functional system settings to support efficient and scalable HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS support, providing functional triage, complex issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and escalation management as needed. Identify recurring issues and implement sustainable system or process solutions to reduce repeated manual intervention.
Serve as a key functional resource for employee data transactions, organizational structure changes, business process support, and HR systems troubleshooting.
Develop, maintain, validate, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, data extracts, and workforce analytics for HR leadership and business stakeholders. Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting, scheduled distribution, alerts, and exception-based reporting.
Monitor and resolve data quality issues through audits, reconciliations, exception reporting, and root-cause analysis across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and related systems. Develop preventative controls and automated audits or exception reporting where practical to improve data integrity and reduce recurring corrections.
Support testing, validation, and post-implementation review for system enhancements, upgrades, patches, releases, configuration changes, workflow improvements, and process automations.
Create and maintain process documentation, process maps, standard operating procedures, business rules, data definitions, system dependencies, and knowledge-transfer materials to promote consistency, scalability, and audit readiness.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and other HR functional areas to support recruiting, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes, identifying opportunities to improve handoffs, eliminate duplicate data entry, and automate routine transactions, notifications, and workflows.
Assess end-to-end HR processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, manual workarounds, duplicate activities, and opportunities for standardization, simplification, and automation.
Design and implement practical system and process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, strengthen controls, and enhance the employee and manager experience.
Leverage UKG Pro capabilities and other available technology to automate repetitive or high-volume activities and develop scalable solutions that support the continued growth of the organization.
Partner with HR process owners to translate operational needs and identified process gaps into clear requirements and implement sustainable system, workflow, reporting, or automation solutions.
Proactively evaluate existing processes, workflows, and system configurations and recommend enhancements that improve scalability, consistency, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements by monitoring reductions in manual work, processing time, recurring issues, errors, and other relevant measures of process effectiveness.
May serve as a lead resource on complex HRIS initiatives, process improvement efforts, system enhancements, automations, or cross-functional projects, depending on experience and assigned level.
