About The Position

The People Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department at LPL Financial by contributing to various HR functions and initiatives. This position is vital for ensuring a positive employee experience and efficient HR operations. The People Specialist will provide excellent customer service support and consultation in the overall administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs, as well as coordination and implementation of services, policies, and programs through close partnership with our Centers of Expertise (COE) within a fast paced People department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years' experience in a high-volume customer service or administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality results.
  • Customer-focused professional with a positive, proactive attitude and a demonstrated commitment to delivering superior service.
  • Ability to partner effectively with other People groups, such as benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, organizational development and training, payroll and HRIS

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Workday, Salesforce, and/or ADP Payroll experience
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service and tactical support to employee population of approximately 9,000 employees in an efficient manner regarding multiple HR topics (i.e. recruiting/staffing, learning & development, performance management, compensation & benefits)
  • Support HR programs and initiatives, such as performance management, employee recognition, and talent development.
  • Facilitate paperwork, process and data entry for employee events/changes
  • Prepare and generate various HR reports and analyses as requested.
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Participate in internal HR audits and data verification processes.
  • Serve on project teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the People team.
  • Assist with HR compliance efforts and ensure adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations.
