About The Position

The People Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties including: more employee relation situations (to include separation agreements, terminations and severe workplace violations) and problem solving including payroll and benefits administration issues, general EVERSANA employee support, on boarding and offboarding processes, recruitment/employment recommendations and decisions, and affirmative action and employment law compliance for a specific EVERSANA location or locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience handling with employee matters in an hourly work environment.
  • An Associate-level degree, preferably in management, human resources,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the direct HR manager to understand fully the business needs and requirements and how the role of People Specialist supports those needs.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends, participates, and leads, as appropriate, employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations with limited direction from a more senior level HR professional.
  • Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and ensures compliance. Knowledge of global employment laws and regulations as appropriate.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law.
  • Ensures full understanding of the EVERSANA Benefits including base pay, variable pay, all benefits offerings including COBRA.
  • Understands and effectively and efficiently supports HR initiatives/processes including performance management, recruitment, engagement survey, cultural beliefs training, diversity and inclusion etc.
  • Manages employee questions with timely and accurate responses, trouble shoots and escalates as appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee health information, employee relations issues, compensation.
  • Recommends process and internal customer service improvement, innovating and best practice HR solutions, HR policy changes and/or reasons for exception to established policies using data and logic.
  • Collaborates with the entire HR department including serving as a liaison with third parties and internal stakeholders (such as Payroll).
  • Serves on HR project teams as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
