About The Position

The People Services Director leads the hospital’s People Services (HR) function, with a focus on reducing turnover, increasing employee engagement, and promoting core values. The role manages day-to-day HR operations and supports leaders across recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and policy compliance. It also ensures confidential and accurate personnel, education, and medical record management, advises managers on employee matters, and oversees departmental budgets and HR-related expenditures.

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital, an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The hospital is operated jointly by Lifepoint Health and Lancaster Hospital.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or nearing completion.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and healthcare regulations.
• Partner with leaders on recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and policy compliance.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel, education, and medical records.
• Serve as the primary resource for employee relations and advise managers on performance, conduct, and policy application.
• Support and foster a positive, open-door culture.
• Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and HR-related expenditures.
