The opportunity now is to join a rocketship as we prepare for the next stage of growth, and an eventual public listing. This role is onsite 5 days a week in Boston, MA. This is a 3-month contract position with the opportunity for extension. About the Role As a People Partner Coordinator, you will work closely with the Manager and Director of Operations to support site operations and ensure smooth day-to-day execution of the workforce. You will serve as the on-site HR partner, responsible for supporting compliance, enforcing safety standards, coordinating onboarding and training, and providing frontline HR support across the facility. This role also provides regional support to other operations as needed, helping ensure a consistent and well-managed employee experience across sites.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or similar HR support role, preferably in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or field-based operational environments
  • Experience supporting hourly or frontline workforces in fast-paced operational settings
  • Working knowledge of employee relations processes, workers’ compensation coordination, and HR compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with employment law fundamentals and ability to follow established HR policies and escalation procedures
  • Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines
  • High attention to detail with accuracy in documentation, tracking, and compliance-related work
  • Ability to balance empathy with consistency in handling employee and operational issues
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and clear operational direction
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fulfillment centers, logistics, distribution, or transportation environments
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
  • Prior experience coordinating across multiple sites or supporting regional operations (multi-location exposure)
  • Exposure to onboarding, training coordination, or workforce engagement initiatives in an operational setting
  • Basic experience working with HRIS or tracking systems for ER cases, attendance, or safety reporting

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute frontline HR operations, including onboarding, orientation, and training coordination to ensure a consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience
  • Provide daily HR support to frontline employees across payroll, benefits, policies, attendance, and performance matters
  • Coordinate and track required training to meet OSHA, local, state, and company compliance requirements
  • Serve as on-site People Partner for Boston operations, with regional support for NJ sites as needed
  • Partner with site leadership to support engagement, retention, and workforce stability initiatives
  • Support employee relations and compliance processes by gathering documentation, maintaining records, and tracking case follow-ups in partnership with HR leadership
  • Assist managers with performance management actions including discipline, policy application, and terminations
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation cases from incident through resolution, including documentation, tracking, and coordination with vendors and insurance partners
  • Maintain and update HR and operations trackers (ER cases, attendance, safety, turnover), identify trends, and escalate risks to leadership with recommended actions
