About The Position

The People Partner is responsible for leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Partner is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals under the guidance of the VP, People.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources
  • This position requires a Bachelor-level degree, preferably in Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or psychology
  • SHRM Certification

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with assigned service line senior leadership as well as direct supervisor to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Networks to ensure compensation and recruiting trends are being monitored as they relate to assigned services lines and/or the life science industry.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, and training and development.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human capital management system.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee health information, employee relations issues, compensation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • All other duties as assigned.
