People Operations

Epia NeuroAlameda, CA
$95,000 - $125,000Onsite

About The Position

Epia Neuro is a neural technology company developing intent-driven systems designed to restore function and independence for people living with neurological conditions. Its platform integrates implantable neural interfaces, adaptive algorithms, and assistive devices to translate neural intent into real-world action. The company’s initial focus is stroke-related motor impairment, with expansion in cognitive decline and other neurological disorders, focusing on long-term solutions for the growing aging population. We are intentional. We prioritize and are thoughtful about how we use others’ time. We care for others. We prioritize safety both for patients and one another. We own outcomes, not just tasks. Our work demands the highest standards because it impacts real patients and real lives. Humility is a strength. We are honest about what we know and what we don’t know. Getting it right matters more than being right. We're looking for someone to join our People team onsite, five days a week, at our Alameda office. This is a great opportunity to work across a range of different areas, including recruiting, employer branding, vendor management, and day to day HR operations, while reporting directly to our COO. We're looking for someone who's highly organized, comfortable moving between different types of work in the same day, and excited to build a long-term career in HR.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in HR, recruiting coordination, office administration, or a related support role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Comfort with Outlook, Microsoft Suite, Notion, Claude, Ashby (or equivalent ATS) and HRIS, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and basic content scheduling.
  • Strong written communication and follow through.

Nice To Haves

  • You want breadth over specialization, and are able to seamlessly context switch between a hiring push, an office fire drill, and next week's team event, sometimes all in the same day.
  • You see gaps and fill them, rather than waiting for a title or process to tell you it's your job.
  • You care about the people experience, whether that's a great first day for a new hire or a team event that actually lands well.
  • You enjoy tinkering with People and productivity software to help the team move efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Be a go to resource for managers with day to day HR questions.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees.
  • Assist with HR programs or special projects.
  • Keep our HRIS accurate and organized.
  • Pitch in wherever the People team needs support.
  • Keep the office stocked and running smoothly.
  • Plan and run culture events like happy hours, onsites, and offsites.
  • Support internal communications around culture and events.
  • Own day to day communication with our suppliers and consultants.
  • Project manage the influx of requests.
  • Coordinate with legal on routine vendor matters.
  • Track vendor contracts and renewal timelines, flagging anything with real legal or financial exposure.
  • Help build our employer brand by drafting and scheduling LinkedIn content with our Technical Recruiter.
  • Support onsite interview logistics, including room setup and hosting candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews across the hiring pipeline in partnership with our Technical Recruiter.
  • Support offer logistics, including offer letters and background checks.
