About The Position

The People Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in transforming the People Department by optimizing HR processes and supporting the Human Resource Information System (HRIS - UKG Ready). This position will evolve from manual data entry to more strategic, user-focused responsibilities. Working closely with the Enterprise People Systems Administrator, the Specialist will ensure effective HRIS utilization, maintain data integrity, and enhance the employee experience through streamlined processes. The role also involves collaborating on projects to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency, requiring a blend of technical skills, People Operations understanding, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to HR technological transformation, supporting the Manager, People Operations, the HR team, and other business units. This is a Hybrid position, allowing individuals to work both remotely and onsite based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (higher degree accepted) - Required
  • 2 years of experience in an HR Operations or a related role. - Required
  • Human Resources concepts, practices, policies, and procedures
  • HR Data compliance and governance
  • Federal and state laws, rules, and regulations regarding benefit programs
  • All Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint
  • HRIS/ATS systems and data management
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Working independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment as well as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - Preferred
  • Specific experience processing HR workflow transactions within enterprise HRIS/ATS systems at scale, i.e., shared services process automation, self-service, etc. - Preferred
  • HRCI or SHRM - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager, People Operations in the day-to-day maintenance of the HRIS, UKG Ready.
  • Assist in migrating existing HR data and troubleshooting system errors.
  • Participate in regular system audits.
  • Work with the Manager, People Operations to map existing HR processes for automation and/or self-service opportunities.
  • Support the People Operations Manager in conducting workflow analyses for HR-related processes.
  • Collaborate with the People Partner team and People Managers to update or create SOPs based on new system functionalities.
  • Validate automated transactional changes such as new hires, terminations, and promotions.
  • Perform mass data uploads under guidance and ensure compliance with data security and privacy guidelines.
  • Support key activities related to the enablement and knowledge sharing of HR Analytics tools and reporting capabilities as they are developed, such as job aides, knowledge base articles, etc.
  • Assist in developing content and resources for training People staff and end-users in UKG Ready, such as basic navigation, HR programs (performance evaluations, etc.).
  • Provide first-level assistance to employees for self-service portals and other HRIS features.
  • Assist in testing and QA processes for HRIS upgrades, optimization, and enhancements.
  • Support the People Operations Manager in establishing governance protocols for HR tools and technologies.
  • Assist in documenting system configurations, change management processes, and audit trails.
  • Support other People team members (People Support Partners, People Strategic Partners, etc.) in reporting and data requirements related to other compliance requirements, such as EEO-4 reporting, Joint Commission Survey Audit Readiness, and HRSA compliance requirements.
  • Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
