About The Position

We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day HR support across multiple business units. You'll own benefits administration, payroll accuracy, HRIS data management, employee onboarding and offboarding, and compliance activities. This is an in-office role that reports to leadership and works closely with employees and managers across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR experience, with emphasis on HR operations and benefits administration
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and strong attention to data accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable work style
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach with a customer-service orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with benefits platforms and payroll systems
  • Knowledge of ERISA, ACA compliance, and state employment law
  • Familiarity with 401(k) administration and retirement plan compliance
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Manage employee enrollments, terminations, qualifying life events, and coverage changes in benefits and payroll systems.
  • Administer 401(k) plans and employee stock programs, including enrollments, contributions, and reporting.
  • Administer COBRA and workers' compensation programs.
  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, disability, and company leave policies.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy by validating start dates, stop dates, pay rate changes, and documentation of raises and promotion changes.
  • Process payroll election changes and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in payroll systems.
  • Collect, track, and input hours and leave information to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Maintain and audit employee data in the HRIS, including job changes, leave status, workers' compensation coding, and compliance records.
  • Ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company policies.
  • Support audits related to personnel files, I-9 documentation, payroll, and benefits.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer preparation.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Coordinate offboarding activities, exit interviews, and separation documentation.
  • Assist with employee handbook updates, HR policies, and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
