People Operations

TriomicsNew York City, NY
Onsite

About The Position

We're hiring our first dedicated People Operations role to own how it feels to join and work at Triomics. This is a build role, not a maintenance seat. You will own onboarding, equipment, benefits, the office, and support the recruiting machine that keeps the team growing. You are the person who makes the company run day to day. New hires get a laptop, accounts, and a real first week because you built the system. The best person for this role is someone who has been an EA or office manager at a Series A or B startup, is comfortable with technology and light IT, and likes building systems from nothing. You move fast, you are AI-native in how you work, and you have a high bar for how every interaction lands with a new hire or a candidate.

Requirements

  • Experience as an EA, office manager, or people/recruiting ops at a Series A or B startup
  • Comfortable with technology and low-level IT: laptop provisioning, accounts, access, basic troubleshooting
  • Organized and self-directed; able to build and run systems without constant management
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High bar for how interactions feel to a new hire or candidate
  • Based in NYC and able to be in the office regularly
  • Excited to build from scratch
  • AI-native in how you work

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Ashby experience, plus recruiting coordination
  • Experience planning marketing conferences and events
  • Benefits administration experience (Gusto)
  • Experience at a fast-scaling startup juggling multiple workstreams
  • Healthcare or AI startup background

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles
  • Build and run the first-week experience for new hires, including accounts, equipment, paperwork, and intros.
  • Procure and provision laptops, manage accounts and access, and handle day-to-day tech issues.
  • Solve low-level IT problems before they reach an engineer.
  • Own benefits documentation, enrollment, and routine people-related questions.
  • Keep people records clean and accurate.
  • Support interview scheduling and candidate flow in Ashby, ensuring the pipeline moves, candidates are informed, and interviewers are on time.
  • Own the recruiting process long-term.
  • Run the NYC office.
  • Plan team events and offsites.
  • Help coordinate company presence at conferences and attend when beneficial.
  • Provide EA support for the leadership team when needed.
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership.
