This role is equal parts HR operations and office management, and we mean that. If you want a role where you can go deep on payroll, benefits, and people ops while also being the person who makes the Austin office hum, this is it. If you'd rather stay in one lane, this probably isn't the right fit. Three days a week onsite, reporting to the Head of HR, Americas.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience processing US and Canadian payroll
  • Benefits administration experience in both the US and Canada
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline, this role is heavy on execution quality
  • Discretion with confidential employee information
  • A genuine willingness to own office operations alongside HR work, not just tolerate it
  • Experience with BambooHR, Rippling or similar HRIS & Payroll tools

Responsibilities

  • Keep the Austin office running: supplies, vendors, facilities, mail, workspace setup, and anything else that needs an owner
  • Plan and execute team events and gatherings, onsite and remote, that people actually want to attend
  • Support onboarding logistics and keep office expenses on budget
  • Support payroll and benefits administration across US states and Canadian provinces
  • Handle enrollment, life events, terminations, PTO tracking, discrepancies, and Finance reconciliations without things falling through the cracks
  • Keep us compliant with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and Canadian equivalents
  • Run onboarding: background checks, I-9s, offer docs, system setup, employment verifications
  • Own data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms, you'll be the one who catches issues before they become problems
