About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented, and collaborative People Operations Manager to support the day-to-day Human Resources operations of our luxury hotel. This role partners closely with department leaders and employees to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employment lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, HR systems administration, and compliance while ensuring alignment with company policies, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and applicable employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Workday or another HRIS required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, leave administration, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary People Operations contact for employees and managers regarding company policies, benefits, leaves of absence, payroll inquiries, and general HR matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer administration, and onboarding.
  • Process new hire transactions in Workday, including background checks, Form I-9 completion, employment eligibility verification, and employee data changes.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and coordinate onboarding activities with department leaders and support departments.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, recruitment and leave tracking logs, and HR documentation.
  • Administer union benefit enrollments, respond to employee benefit inquiries, and coordinate leave and disability claims with third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate Workers' Compensation claims and submit required incident documentation.
  • Process HR-related invoices and maintain vendor communications.
  • Submit and track system access requests and support employees with Workday-related issues.
  • Prepare employment verification letters, HR correspondence, and required reports.
  • Monitor the People Operations inbox and provide timely support to employees and leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support departmental projects and other People Operations initiatives as assigned.
