About The Position

CivicScience is seeking People Operations Interns to partner with a business leader while earning college-level credit(s) at the advanced undergraduate or graduate level. As a member of our People team, you may have the opportunity to brainstorm creative ideas for Employee Resource Group programming, draft content for internal communications, support the upcoming transition of the CivicScience intranet to a new platform, research innovative and responsible ways to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into workflows and internal platforms, draft job descriptions for critical roles, influence and update new hire policies and procedures, and contribute to training, learning, and development tools for new hire onboarding.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of human resources best practices and communications principles
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Excellent written communication, including impeccable grammar
  • Eligibility to receive college credits for this unpaid internship
  • US-based undergraduate or graduate student

  • Education in human resources, communications, or business programs
  • Preference given to candidates in the greater Pittsburgh region
