About The Position

We’re looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our Global People Operations team! The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment, is very hands-on, naturally curious, and highly collaborative. This role is based in the U.S., with a preference for candidates in the Bay Area. This role will be responsible for updating our HRIS, U.S. compliance, immigration, and supporting our People Business Partner team with a focus on supporting the Americas. This role will work cross-functionally with other G&A teams to provide operational, compliance, and administrative support to the business. This position reports to the Senior Manager, People Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 3+ years of HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws and industry best practices.
  • Experience supporting a global workforce and a basic understanding of global employment law.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining an HRIS system, including data entry, access management, reporting, and managing workflows.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a desire to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential data with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams to ensure alignment for onboarding new hires
  • Complete I-9 verifications and process E-Verify for all new hires
  • Partner with a cross-functional onboarding team to stay current on new hire pipelines and ensure a seamless onboarding experience
  • Own all H-1B and visa transfers for U.S. new hires
  • Partner with the PBP team to coordinate all the offboarding for the Americas
  • Maintain up-to-date U.S. termination documentation across all states
  • Complete and manage all involuntary offboarding documents at the direction of the Legal and PBP teams
  • Partner with team to manage our people data and maintain data integrity in our HRIS (HiBob)
  • Manage day-to-day immigration cases
  • Manage global mobility cases end-to-end, including international transfers
  • Coordinate with external immigration counsel on visa requests and ensure timely processing.
  • Work with the Senior Manager to ensure legal compliance with all applicable U.S. federal, state, and local employment law
  • Provide overall People Operations support to the team and organization through the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop workflow improvements and document new procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scale.
  • Operate in an extremely organized manner, managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, while being proactive and anticipating what needs to be done ahead of time.
