About The Position

As a People Operations Coordinator, you will be integral to our small but mighty People Team. You will interact with various organizational stakeholders, deliver world-class service to our workforce, and ensure a positive candidate and employee experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all of our employees have the best possible experience working here. You will work closely with our People Operations team, focusing on the day-to-day execution of various operations and tasks ranging from data entry to process creation. You'll be involved in onboarding, organizational updates, and supporting our distributed workforce. This role is a hybrid position based out of Kansas City. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow their human resources and talent management career.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience, with a preference for experience in a high-growth-phase organization
  • A Bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or Communications
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Slack, and Generative AI tools

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the people point of contact for day-to-day people questions and general employee conversations. Support employee inquiries on policy and process matters throughout their employee lifecycle.
  • Provide operational support and maintain accurate employee data and files across all systems in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Provide administrative support to PayIt’s people processes, including but not limited to new hire onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, offboarding, payroll, compensation, reporting, tax compliance, and workplace experience
  • Document people process changes as needed and continually evolve the people and talent tech stack (HRIS, ATS, Team Communications)
  • Building out people process workflows at PayIt to continuously improve our business effectiveness. Leverage automation and AI tools (i.e. Claude, Gemini, and GPT) to streamline processes.
  • Administer benefits, including open enrollment, 401(k), and leave management
  • Support People and Business leaders in performance org design and management
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of sensitive information
  • Support planning and coordination of PayIt culture events, both virtual and in-person
  • Continuously improve processes and programs that improve the employee lifecycle
  • Improve the lightweight systems, documentation, and tooling that keep People operations running smoothly
  • Manage initiatives like our wellness budget by planning activities, tracking expenses, and evaluating vendors
  • Support talent and recruiting operations
  • Manage job postings across platforms and keep our employer branding strong across our talent channels
