About The Position

Helion is a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Their vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone. Since Helion's founding in 2013, they have raised $1.5 billion from investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group, as well as new investors including Thrive Capital, LightSpeed Venture Capital, SoftBank, and others. Their current prototype, Polaris, has reached record-breaking plasma temperatures of 150 million degrees Celsius (13 keV). Helion is continuing to iterate and is on the path to the world's first fusion power plant, Orion. This is a pivotal time to join Helion, where you will tackle real-world challenges with a team that prizes urgency, rigor, ownership, and a commitment to delivering hard truths – values essential to achieving what no one has before. Together, they will change the future of energy. This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity for extension. At Helion, you will play a role in supporting the employee experience while ensuring their People systems and processes scale with the company. You'll partner with their greater People Ops team to keep core programs running smoothly, maintain data integrity, and help build a strong foundation for growth. This is an onsite role at their Everett, WA office.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, administration, customer support, or a related field
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with compliance
  • Experience communicating clearly and effectively, with the ability to partner across teams
  • Comfortability managing multiple priorities and providing excellent employee support

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the People Operations team to support initiatives and programs that enhance the employee experience
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, responding to questions related to systems or processes with care and professionalism
  • Maintain employee records and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and data integrity
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and enhance operational effectiveness as the company grows
