You will partner with the PeopleOps team and various interdisciplinary partners to support our growing employee base of nearly 150. You will have a unique opportunity to develop knowledge and skills related to all arms of People Operations, with a heavy focus on talent acquisition. Aptima has exciting and critical growth goals so it will be important to build relationships across the organization to establish goals and timelines, execute against a hiring plan, implement creative hiring strategies, and create a positive experience for candidates and new employees. Since we move quickly and span across many areas, it’s crucial that all team members have top-notch written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. We juggle multiple priorities and tasks can change quickly, so being a creative problem-solver that can stay incredibly organized while being able to autonomously manage their time and priorities is a must.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • A strong desire to learn, grow and develop in the area of People Operations, specifically recruiting
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to change direction quickly
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to self-manage multiple administrative projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidentiality
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through a sequence of events to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Eligibility for a U.S. Security Clearance is required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to recruit talent across all areas of the business, owning the full recruiting cycle from job description creation, to offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Research complex issues as they arise, partnering with leadership to form business and policy recommendations
  • Maintain our HRIS, ATS and other People Operations systems and data sources, creating and sharing reports as necessary
  • Coordinate, track and distribute a variety of employee awards throughout the year
  • Recognize when you should escalate and seek help from leadership
  • Some office manager tasks as necessary, such as ordering supplies, communicating with our building managers and coordinating office visits when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
