People Operations Coordinator (Contract)
About The Position
Helion is a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, aiming to build the world's first fusion power plant to provide unlimited clean electricity. The company has raised over $1 billion and is currently operating its Polaris prototype. This is a pivotal time to join Helion, where you will tackle real-world challenges with a team that values urgency, rigor, ownership, and a commitment to delivering hard truths. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. The role involves supporting the employee experience and ensuring People systems and processes scale with the company. You will partner with the People Ops team to maintain core programs, ensure data integrity, and build a foundation for growth. This is an onsite role at the Everett, WA office.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, administration, customer support, or a related field
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with compliance
- Experience communicating clearly and effectively, with the ability to partner across teams
- Comfortability managing multiple priorities and providing excellent employee support
Responsibilities
- Partner with the People Operations team to support initiatives and programs that enhance the employee experience
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, responding to questions related to systems or processes with care and professionalism
- Maintain employee records and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and data integrity
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and enhance operational effectiveness as the company grows
