Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field required OR actively pursuing degree.
  • Able to interact with employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required preparation tasks to ensure the smooth processing of weekly payroll.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department when necessary to resolve discrepancies and provide support to the employees and leadership when questions arrive on payroll items.
  • Complete required tasks within timekeeping and attendance systems.
  • Maintain and update employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Ensure that HR practices and procedures adhere to relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and audits as requested.
  • Help coordinate training programs.
  • Maintain training records and monitor training completion.
  • Handle basic employee inquiries and concerns, escalating more complex issues to the People Operations Manager or Generalist as necessary.
  • Prepare HR-related reports, presentations, and documents as requested by HR management or other departments.
  • Assist in the distribution of HR policies, notices, and updates to employees.
  • Promote HR initiatives and events.
  • Utilize HR software and systems for data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure data accuracy and troubleshoot system issues.
