About The Position

Natural Cycles is a leading women’s health company that developed the world’s first birth control app, used by millions globally. They are a fast-growing startup with an international working environment filled with smart and ambitious colleagues based in Stockholm, Geneva, New York, and remotely. Their mission is to pioneer women’s health through research and passion, empowering every woman with the knowledge she needs to take charge of her health. They are looking for a People Generalist to join their global People team and become their primary People representative in New York. This role involves being the local People presence in the US, working closely with employees, managers, and key stakeholders in New York while collaborating with colleagues across their global organization. The role supports the growing US team of 30+ employees and coordinates employment matters for international employees through Employer of Record (EOR) partners. It is a broad, hands-on role where the individual will be responsible for onboarding, benefits, employee support, workplace experience, and local office operations, playing an important role in creating a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-minded, and comfortable answering benefits questions, coordinating new hire orientations, improving People processes, or helping to make the New York office a welcoming place to work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a broad HR Generalist role.
  • A good understanding of US employment practices and benefits administration.
  • Experience supporting employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Based within an easy commuting distance of the Manhattan office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EOR providers or international employment is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in employer branding is a plus.
  • Experience working with HR systems such as HiBob, Deel, or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary People contact for employees and managers in the US.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and HR documentation.
  • Administer US benefits, including annual renewals, enrollments, and employee support.
  • Support employees and managers with HR-related questions, policies, and day-to-day employment matters.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external partners to ensure compliant and efficient People processes.
  • Coordinate employment administration for employees hired through Employer of Record (EOR) partners.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and international employment setups.
  • Partner with EOR providers to ensure a smooth employee experience for international employees.
  • Support consistent and compliant employment processes across the international workforce.
  • Serve as the primary People contact for the New York office.
  • Coordinate workplace operations, facilities, vendors, and office logistics.
  • Support local onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, office events, and visitors.
  • Help create a welcoming, well-functioning workplace that reflects the company culture and values.
  • Support recruitment activities, including interview coordination, offers, and onboarding.
  • Support employer branding initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and HR systems.
  • Contribute to improving People processes, documentation, and ways of working.
  • Support global People initiatives as required.
