About The Position

We're looking for a People Generalist to join our Columbus team, supporting our Head of People in creating a people-centered, values-driven culture. This is a broad, hands-on support role for someone who enjoys variety and doesn't mind moving between HR admin, employee support, and facilities coordination, ensuring seamless workplace operations. At J&J Global Fulfilment, we help hundreds of eCommerce brands grow and scale globally. Our team is fast, supportive, and proud of the work we do. Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar people-support role
  • A good working knowledge of employee relations and HR best practice
  • Comfortable managing front of house duties alongside HR admin, and able to juggle shifting priorities
  • Highly organized, with great attention to detail
  • A warm, professional, can-do approach - you're often the first face people see
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support our Head of People in delivering a people-centered, values-based culture across our 2 sites
  • Support benefits administration, including processing and tracking FMLA and other leave, and managing sickness and absence records
  • Be a first point of contact for employees and line managers on day-to-day HR queries, escalating more complex employee relations issues as needed
  • Help deliver a smooth HR administration service - contracts, employee records, and maintaining our HR and T&A systems
  • Support the recruitment process - coaching hiring managers in interviews, coordinating hourly role recruitment and keeping things moving
  • Help create and maintain employment policies and processes, including attendance management
  • Support a great onboarding and orientation experience for new starters
  • Help plan and run employee engagement initiatives - from surveys and recognition schemes to on-site events - that keep our people connected and motivated
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of office facilities and shared spaces
  • Manage front of house duties, including greeting visitors and managing visitor access
