About The Position

They are building a technology-enabled organization focused on data and workflows to empower clinicians and staff, improve care outcomes, and enhance participant and provider satisfaction. Seen Health aims to provide the highest standard of care to underserved older adults while respecting their individual beliefs, heritage, and values. This role is for an experimental builder to drive learning, development, and performance enablement at Seen Health. As the first dedicated L&D hire, this individual will architect content and systems for sustainable high performance and a culture of continuous learning across all team members. The position sits on the People team but collaborates across all organizational disciplines. The mission is to build high-ROI learning and development programs that measurably elevate team capabilities, grow engagement, and improve participant care. The role is expected to reinvent how a care organization learns, leveraging AI and in-house technology, with an experimental, data-driven approach to stay ahead of the industry. PACE is a training-intensive model requiring documented initial and ongoing training for all staff across eleven disciplines with diverse learning needs. This role will build systems that are rigorous yet genuinely useful for diverse teams, moving beyond a checkbox exercise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in learning & development, clinical education, or workforce development with a diverse mix of clinical and non-clinical roles.
  • Working knowledge of regulated healthcare training compliance.
  • Track record of building in ambiguity — creating programs, frameworks, and processes from the ground up.
  • Comfort operating at multiple altitudes: designing a competency framework and facilitating frontline training.
  • Experience with teaching across a wide skill and role range, from frontline aides to physicians.
  • Strong LMS/tooling fluency and a bias toward systems that scale.
  • Excellent organization and detail-orientation.
  • Strong curiosity and practice building with AI-enabled learning tools, learning analytics, or experience piloting new learning technology in a regulated environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency.
  • Care delivery background (e.g., social worker, personal care worker) or adult-learning credential (teaching experience, instructional design).
  • Experience in a fast-growing, multi-site environment.
  • Experience with or knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS guidelines, Medicaid/Medicare requirements, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Strategically deploy AI and in-house technology (Orbit) to accelerate learning and make it accessible to a multilingual workforce.
  • Partner with engineering and clinical leadership on role evolution with AI integration in care workflows and build corresponding training.
  • Apply an experimental lens to L&D: ship, gather feedback, and improve, prioritizing impactful solutions and evolving them with the business.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging approaches like AI-assisted content generation and simulation-based training responsibly within a regulated healthcare context.
  • Develop and evolve Seen Health's learning roadmap to address immediate business needs and build long-term organizational capabilities.
  • Design and run a structured onboarding program.
  • Build discipline-specific ramp plans with clinical and operational leads.
  • Ensure new hires meet regulatory training requirements with auditable documentation.
  • Own regulatory learning operations, including mandatory training, competency management, licensure tracking, audit readiness, and documentation.
  • Prepare documentation for CMS/DHCS audits and support corrective action plans.
  • Partner with the Medical Director and IDT leadership to develop clinical education for the specific population served (e.g., dementia, behavioral health, falls prevention, culturally responsive care).
  • Develop training for non-clinical teams (e.g., enrollment, transportation) to enhance service quality and participant satisfaction.
  • Bring in training and hospitality expertise to elevate experience standards.
  • Own learning systems and infrastructure, including LMS administration, content standards, and learning analytics.
  • Incorporate training on internal tools like Orbit in partnership with engineering and product teams.
  • Build train-the-trainer capacity for subject-matter experts to deliver and sustain content.
  • Define and report metrics for training effectiveness (time-to-competency, audit readiness, error/incident trends, retention) to leadership.
  • Integrate goal setting, feedback, and accountability into daily work.
  • Build Seen Health's 'performance engine' for scaling high performance, including talent readiness.
  • Design career pathways and promotional paths to support internal mobility and retention.
