Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience featuring at least 3 years dedicated to a comprehensive Generalist capacity.
  • Extensive working knowledge of employment law, compliance and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills with proven track record of building cross-functional trust.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by engaging, advising, and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with people and creating a positive employee experience.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction, demonstrated flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills paired with a sharp attention to detail and systematic organization.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality maintaining discretion with sensitive data.
  • Manage time effectively with ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with Paylocity or ability to quickly learn the HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional expert and administrator for HRIS (Paylocity). Manage system configuration, maintain data integrity, troubleshoot tech issues, and manage vendor file feeds.
  • Align with Talent Acquisition to navigate upcoming headcount needs, manage internal candidate transfers, and ensure seamless system handoffs from candidate tracking to Paylocity for onboarding.
  • Partner with managers on role evolution, promotions, and transfers, while directly managing the execution of these changes within Paylocity (including employment status, reporting lines, and compensation updates).
  • Support departments navigating organizational restructuring, team shifts, or leadership transitions by guiding managers on effective communication frameworks and strategies to minimize team disruption.
  • Compile reports and design custom dashboards from the Paylocity database.
  • Administer open enrollment and maintain benefits systems. Manage complex Leave of Absence programs (FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, state specific LOAs) and audit HRIS data for ACA/COBRA compliance.
  • Partner with payroll to conduct comprehensive payroll audits, ensuring accurate cross-system data.
  • Advise managers through performance review cycles and guide them during annual merit and bonus cycles by analyzing internal equity data and market benchmarks.
  • Lead employee relations discussions and investigations using HR best practices. Keep a pulse on organizational health to proactively address culture and retention issues.
  • Participate in injury intake meetings and analyze claims data for patterns. Provide safety recommendations to managers and elevate critical risks to the Director of People and Culture.
  • Manage the offboarding process, conducting exit interviews and executing terminations within Paylocity. Administer 401(k) plan terminations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. Administer regular audits, and update company policies, procedures, and handbook guidelines to ensure organization-wide compliance.
