About The Position

Rockland Federal Credit Union is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner I to support key People & Culture operations throughout the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, supporting payroll and HR administration, coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities, responding to employee inquiries, and assisting with employee relations documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of Human Resources, administrative, payroll, or operations experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
  • Payroll processing or payroll support experience preferred
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or coursework in progress is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data, including new hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and related employee data changes
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities and ensure completion of required employment documentation
  • Run HR reports, audits, and compliance reviews to support data integrity
  • Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR processes
  • Serve as a scribe for employee relations meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support recruiting activities, including scheduling and candidate coordination
  • Assist with HR projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives
  • Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team
