The People and Culture Coordinator will be responsible for personally greeting all employees, both in person and over the phone, offering support and fielding inquiries. This role oversees general office administration, including employee filing, sorting mail, and responding where required. The coordinator assists with communication between P&C and other departments, prepares statistical reports, and administers employment letters and employee information updates. Key responsibilities also include tracking employee trainings and department meetings, maintaining P&C communication boards, and acting as the key department operator for the P&C information system and employee database. The coordinator supports recruiting and training efforts, including creating and updating requisitions, reviewing applications, and assisting with interviewing. They are responsible for New Hire Orientation preparation and paperwork, with some involvement in presentation, and distribute Fairmont property to colleagues such as ID cards. The role also involves maintaining benefits administration and tracking, ordering and maintaining P&C supplies and inventory, assisting in creating and organizing regular employee events, and representing P&C on hotel committees while assisting with employee recognition. The coordinator ensures all company processes are followed and enforced and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous P&C and/or Office Administration experience required
  • Must be computer savvy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in an environment of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment

Nice To Haves

  • Post Secondary Education in either Hospitality or Business program an asset
