People Analytics Analyst, Assistant Vice President
About The Position
State Street’s Global Human Resources organization is seeking a hands-on, analytics-driven People Analytics Analyst to turn complex, enterprise-scale workforce data into actionable insights for senior leadership. The role focuses on data transformation, visualization, and modeling, while partnering with HR and business leaders to translate executive-ready insights into meaningful action. The analyst uses existing and emerging technologies, including GenAI tools and data lakehouse platforms, to accelerate analysis, uncover insights, and improve workflows. The role transforms large, multi-source global datasets into coherent data models; applies statistical and machine learning methods to understand employee behavior and outcomes; and develops dashboards, visualizations, and models that support business decisions. The position owns analytical deliverables from problem definition and data preparation through analysis, visualization, and executive communication. It requires adapting to evolving priorities, maintaining analytical rigor and data quality, and communicating findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business Analytics or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or an advanced reporting role.
- Advanced proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI, including designing, building, and publishing complex dashboards.
- Strong experience working with large datasets in data warehouses or data lake environments, such as Databricks.
- Experience with statistical analysis techniques such as regression modeling and applying them to business problems.
- Experience using programming languages such as R and Python for statistical modeling, and SQL for complex queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and executive presentations.
- Experience partnering with leadership-level stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely.

- Experience applying analytics in Human Resources, People Analytics, workforce-related, or similar domains involving human behavior, organizational outcomes, or operational decision-making.
- Familiarity with HR metrics and KPIs such as attrition, hiring, mobility, and workforce planning.
Responsibilities
- Identify ways to use existing and emerging technologies, including GenAI tools and data lakehouse platforms, to accelerate analysis, generate insights, and improve workflows.
- Transform large, multi-source global datasets with varying structures into coherent data models for analysis.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques, including regression modeling, to identify and quantify drivers of employee behavior and outcomes.
- Use business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI to design, build, test, and deliver executive-ready dashboards, visualizations, and models.
- Own analytical deliverables end-to-end, from problem definition and data preparation through modeling, visualization, and executive communication.
- Ensure dashboards and models are analytically sound, scalable, and aligned with business partners’ decision-making needs and strategic direction.
- Turn complex and ambiguous non-routine requests into actionable steps with minimal direction, adapting as priorities change while maintaining analytical rigor and data quality.
- Interpret and communicate analytical results and recommendations clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
