About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist at a private multidisciplinary clinic in Okinawa, Japan. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, and maintaining high standards of clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (PT / DPT) with dedicated pelvic floor experience.
  • Hands-on experience working with pelvic floor patients.
  • Native or professional English fluency.
  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted state or national license to practice physical therapy independently.
  • Proof of licensure and a clean disciplinary record are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred training through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute or the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) Pelvic Health academy, though equivalent international training will be considered based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical intakes, comprehensive physical assessments, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for pelvic floor patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Collaborate with an on-site multidisciplinary team (OTs, SLPs, and ABA Therapists) to ensure holistic patient care when necessary.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and patient privacy in accordance with United States healthcare standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
