About The Position

Brillante Academy Public Charter School opened its doors in August 2023. In its first year, it will serve over 530 students from Pre-K3 through 4th grade in the Rio Grande Valley. The school plans to expand one grade level per year until 8th grade and eventually across Texas to serve over 7,000 students. Brillante Academy is a two-way, dual language school that combines personalized blended learning and co-teaching with a classical approach to education. It focuses on teaching the whole child, instilling character through core values (courage, justice, wisdom, and self-control), and setting high academic standards. The goal is to prepare scholars for excellence in high school, college, and beyond, enabling them to become bilingual and biliterate citizens who positively impact their community. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong data management and organizational skills, with the ability to quickly learn, navigate, and utilize new systems and technology platforms effectively

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Brillante front office team, greeting families, answering phones, responding to inquiries, serving on front desk coverage rotation, and providing exceptional service and communication to families.
  • Manage PEIMS data submissions, reporting cycles, and ensure compliance with TEA requirements.
  • Partner with students, families, and staff to promote strong daily attendance.
  • Manage daily attendance systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Document all attendance changes, correct attendance data, and complete audits as needed.
  • Train staff and parents on PEIMS/student enrollment processes (report cards, attendance, special education coding, EB coding, etc.).
  • Communicate attendance updates to staff, identify students at risk of chronic absenteeism, and provide proposed next steps/plans to support early intervention.
  • Conduct parent outreach (calls, texts, emails) to support attendance improvement and address absences.
  • Enter, update, and maintain student records in the student information system.
  • Support student enrollment, withdrawals, and transfers, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate report card and progress report processes, including data verification and distribution.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing requests for student records.
  • Review enrollment paperwork to ensure completion and follow up with families as needed.
  • Set up, manage, and audit student folders.
  • Provide family support with enrollment paperwork, registration systems, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate student rosters and support daily campus operational needs.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to review data reports and support decision-making.
  • Assist with arrival/dismissal, campus events, enrollment drives, community events for recruitment, and other family engagement initiatives.
