About The Position

The Enterprise Case Management (ECM) Centre of Excellence (CoE) team within Canadian Operations Business Excellence is looking for an experienced, proactive and energetic Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA) or Certified Systems Architect (CSA) with experience leading the business analysis of complex projects and programs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, instinctively seek out innovative solutions, and view challenges as opportunities. This position requires skills to facilitate the design of client-centric business processes within various Canadian business units and then convert those processes into process flows within the Pega Platform. As a Pega Senior Business Consultant, you will work in an agile environment playing a key role in delivering an improved internal and external client experience while increasing operational efficiency through automation (ChatBots, Robotics). This role will explore client journeys, define business needs, gather requirements, set scope, manage risks, work with Product Owners to create the Definition of Done (DOD), as well as complete business acceptance testing within the leading edge framework of the Pega Platform.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience with Business Consulting.
  • 5 years experience designing and delivering complex Pega case management projects.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive information technology experience with full application development life cycle and systems integration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution design for Pega-based solutions encompassing internal facing and external facing applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) concepts, techniques, tools and delivery approaches.
  • Knowledge of PEGA Systems Architecture and their capabilities.
  • Strong data modeling experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can explain concepts to both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Ex. Scrum, Kanban).

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA) and/or Certified System Architect (CSA).
  • Certified Business Analyst (IIBA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead/Participate in scope definition workshops and own delivery of the completed work.
  • Lead the business team in gathering requirements and choosing the best way to implement within the Pega Platform.
  • Ensure requirements management and facilitation best practices are adhered to including the management of artifacts through traceability, version control, and change control.
  • Translate business needs into Pega-architected process flows and solutions.
  • Work within an agile environment to identify and document client-centric workflow and case management needs (cutting across functional and business unit silos as needed).
  • Work with the Product Owner to create user stories and backlogs.
  • Maintain the functional backlog, and support functional design ensuring optimal use of Pega functionality and adhering to guardrails.
  • Capture requirements in use cases, requirements and design templates as part of workshops.
  • Validate development work and test scenarios.
  • Work with business teams to understand/identify process reuse opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the IT to review work and provide guidance on technical issues.
  • Assist with the design of the Pega enterprise class structure.
  • Mentor, coach and support the development of more junior ECM Business Consultants.
  • Support a work environment that promotes client-centricity, quality, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Proactively recognize business trends and/or company policies that affect ECM practices and make recommendations for process/system enhancements.
  • Incorporate information security standards and requirements into all solutions.
