About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Pega Developer to lead the development and modernization of the Grants Management application. This role requires a deep technical understanding of the Pega 24.1 (or later) platform and the ability to work effectively within an Agile Scrum environment. You will be responsible for translating mission requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring seamless integration with modern front-end technologies and complex data architectures. As a Pega Developer supporting the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), you will be the technical engine behind the systems that fund the next generation of scientific breakthroughs. You won't just be coding; you will be modernizing the Grants Management infrastructure, ensuring that critical research funding reaches the world’s leading scientists with efficiency and precision.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory for reporting and team coordination.
  • Hands-on experience in Pega 24.1 or later.
  • Deep proficiency in Tracer, Clipboard, Live UI, and Log Viewer.
  • Proven experience in administrative and configuration tasks.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with JSON and XML for data structures and integrations.
  • Proficiency with Jenkins for CI/CD.
  • Experience with Agility (or equivalent) and SharePoint navigation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with BGI (Requires US Citizenship).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Pega Certified Senior Systems Architect (CSSA)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ReactJS front-end development is Highly Preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting Grants Management applications or working within a federal government/DoD IT environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute traditional developer responsibilities within Pega Developer Studio and Admin Studio.
  • Perform advanced debugging and system analysis using Tracer, Clipboard, Live UI, and Log Viewer to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Design and maintain complex data structures required for the intricate workflows of the Grants Management system.
  • Work actively within an Agile Scrum team, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment tasks.
  • Use Agility (or equivalent) to track progress and manage sprint tasks.
  • Develop and maintain application components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Handle system integrations and data interchange using JSON and XML.
  • Navigate SharePoint for document management and team collaboration; provide technical insights during stakeholder meetings.
