About The Position

Pier 360 is a peer-run organization that began in 1995 as a mental health support and advocacy nonprofit. It expanded in the 2000s to include mental health and/or substance use recovery, and all employees self-identify as being in recovery. Pier 360 encourages self-determination and self-sufficiency for people in mental health and substance use recovery. The organization's core is peer-to-peer support, with individuals in recovery aiming to support others on their life's journey. Pier 360 is seeking a motivated peer to coordinate sports and other wellness activities. The role involves supporting peers in engaging with sports and activities to enhance their wellness and social connection, performing a wide range of tasks to assist individuals in directing their recovery, healing, and wellness.

  • In mental health and/or substance use recovery
  • Good at being with others seeking something better or different in life
  • Experience planning and leading sports and activities

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality peer support services in alignment with Pier 360 Core Values and Core Competencies for Peer Workers in Behavioral Health Services (SAMHSA).

Benefits

  • $22-25 per hour, depending on experience and other considerations related to the position
