About The Position

CENTERS, LLC is a professional management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. CENTERS' management approach is customized for each client yet retains our uniform quality. Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients. This position will work on-site at our University of Missouri-St. Louis location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of work experience required
  • Experience working in higher education, recreation, or sports
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and organizing intramurals
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team that collaborates effectively with colleagues
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm
  • Analytical skills to: identify problems, assess alternatives, render consistent, logical decisions
  • Ability to write concise, logical reports
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Officiating experience preferred
  • Climbing wall management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and register participants for intramural and camp programs
  • Train officiating mechanics and game, conflict & risk management skills
  • Develop and communicate intramural sport rules and program participation policies & procedures; Develop and communicate camp policies & procedures
  • Supervise competitive sport contests and provide staff with on-site evaluations
  • Manage the Summer Camp program to include summer camps and day camps
  • Manage climbing wall operations
  • Communicate with campers parent/guardians
  • Manage and inventory of all camp and intramural sport equipment and supplies
  • Evaluate performance and program effectiveness; Ensure programs stay in line with all the current trends and rules
  • Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets as it relates to program area
  • Prepare regular written communication such as monthly and annual reports, financial and participation reports and equipment inventory reports
  • Hire, manage, train and supervise intramural officials, supervisors, climbing wall attendants and camp staff
  • Responsible for approving timecards and preparing necessary documents/reports in preparation for payroll
  • Work in collaboration with the Department of Athletics to secure outdoor facility space and internal facility operations for indoor space
