About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is hiring a full-time Peer Support Specialist for the second-shift Mobile Crisis Team in its Crisis Services and Outreach Department. The role provides peer recovery support to people experiencing acute crises, including crisis intervention, outreach, and engagement. The specialist builds rapport using lived experience and works with interdisciplinary teams. Weekend availability is required.

The hourly rate is $17.50 for candidates certified by DMHA as a Certified Peer and $16.00 for candidates without certification.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification is preferred, and eligibility for certification is required. To be considered certified, candidates must have an Indiana Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP-DMHA) credential or a Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC-A or CPRC–ICAADA) credential.
• Valid driver's license and required insurance.
• Must undergo required background checks and a drug screen. Findings are evaluated under applicable laws and organizational policy and do not automatically disqualify applicants.
• Weekend availability is required.

Nice To Haves
