About The Position

Quadrant Health Group provides effective, evidence-based addiction treatment that leads to long-term recovery. We are looking for Peer Support Specialists in Franklin, KY. Join our dynamic team at Wellness Ranch! Wellness Ranch, a proud member of the Quadrant Health Group, is seeking passionate and skilled Full Time Peer Support Specialists to join our growing team. The ideal candidate supports daily program operations by providing peer-based recovery support, facilitating psychoeducational and recovery-oriented groups, documenting services provided, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) provides direct support, encouragement, and supervision to clients receiving services within the Wellness Ranch residential behavioral health treatment program. Drawing upon lived experience and specialized training, the Peer Support Specialist promotes hope, recovery, resilience, and client engagement while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Kentucky Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification required (or ability to obtain if your licensing model permits).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Kentucky AOC background check
  • OIG Exclusion List screening
  • Drug screening as required by program policy
  • TB screening as required by program policy
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
  • Maintain Kentucky Peer Support Specialist certification

Responsibilities

  • Monitor client activities and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Conduct regular facility rounds and room checks in accordance with program policy.
  • Observe client behavior and report concerns to clinical or nursing staff.
  • Assist with crisis situations and follow established safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with program rules and expectations.
  • Build supportive, recovery-focused relationships with clients.
  • Utilize lived experience to inspire hope and model healthy recovery.
  • Encourage client engagement in treatment, recovery programming, and community resources.
  • Assist clients in identifying personal strengths, recovery goals, and wellness strategies.
  • Support clients in developing coping skills, self-advocacy, and independent living skills.
  • Promote a respectful, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment.
  • Facilitate peer support, psychoeducational, and recovery-oriented groups within scope of certification and organizational policy.
  • Assist clinical staff with group programming as assigned.
  • Encourage participation and engagement during group activities.
  • Document client observations, peer support services, group participation, and relevant interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) according to program policies.
  • Complete group documentation and required progress notes within established timeframes.
  • Report significant behavioral, medical, or safety concerns to appropriate staff immediately.
  • Complete shift reports and incident reports as required.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities when appropriate.
  • Provide support during meals, recreational activities, and facility routines.
  • Assist with transportation of clients as needed.
  • Communicate relevant client observations and recovery progress to the clinical and nursing team.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and required training.
  • Support implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by clinical staff.
  • Provide the peer perspective during treatment planning when appropriate.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Follow program policies and procedures regarding client safety and supervision.
  • Support compliance with Kentucky behavioral health regulations.
  • Maintain required peer support certification.
  • Participate in required staff training and continuing education.
