We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Morehead City, NC. Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency
- Must be a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Must be or have been a recipient of SUD services
- Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel
Responsibilities
- Utilize personal lived experience with addiction and recovery to provide mentorship, emotional support, and advocacy to patients receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- Facilitate recovery groups.
- Help navigate community resources.
- Aid in developing relapse prevention skills.
