About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Peer Support Specialist to join their Third Shift team within the innovative Mobile Crisis Team in the Crisis Services and Outreach Department. This role focuses on making a real impact in times of crisis. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certification preferred; eligibility required.
  • To be considered certified, must have either: Indiana Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP-DMHA), or Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC-A or CPRC – ICAADA)
  • Valid driver’s license and required insurance
  • All candidates must undergo required background checks and a drug screen.

  • Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer recovery services including crisis intervention, outreach, and engagement
  • Support individuals experiencing acute crisis in person and by phone
  • Build rapport using lived experience
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
