Peer Reviewer (Subcontractor)
About The Position
Acentra Health is seeking peer reviewers with at least 5 years of clinical experience to review medical records and make a standard of care determination. The reports require the peer reviewer to discuss clinical disease processes, published guidelines, overall care provided and QI recommendations. We are seeking: Physicians that specialize in Family Medicine. We are also seeking Physicians with OB experience who render care to obstetric patients (prenatal care as well as labor and delivery care) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an outpatient setting. This role offers the opportunity to work from home with a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted license
- Board certification (Physicians only)
- 5 years' clinical experience as a Family Medicine Physician with 5 years' experience in an outpatient setting.
- Active clinical practice of at least 20 hours per week
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review medical records for standard of care determinations.
- Provide quality improvement recommendations.
- Discuss clinical disease processes, published guidelines, and overall care provided.
- Adhere to all corporate policies including HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
