About The Position

Copa Health is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach committed to creating a supportive and empowering environment where members can achieve long-term recovery and wellness. The coach uses personal recovery experience to mentor and support others, advocates for comprehensive and individualized services, and helps participants access community resources and vocational or educational opportunities. The role requires compliance with CARF, contract, and regulatory standards and strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners. Work is 80% field-based.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have Peer Support Certification or complete it within 90 days.
• Have lived experience meeting AHCCCS Peer Support requirements.
• Be eligible for a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Have a valid Arizona driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Have the physical ability to meet job demands, including standing or walking 70–90% of the time and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate a culturally diverse and inclusive mindset.
• Complete pre-employment criminal background and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize personal recovery experience to mentor and support others.

• Assist with community resource access and vocational and educational opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with CARF, contract, and regulatory standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
