About The Position

Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Through our programs, we offer opportunities for people to heal from and repair harm, restore their lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies and practices that promote true safety, justice, and liberation. At Osborne, we are guided by core values and shared beliefs. We honor everyone's capacity to change, celebrate our shared humanity, are united in our pursuit of justice and equity, take all possible steps to keep our commitments, and advocate for people and principles with fierce and tenacious determination. We currently seek a full-time Peer Mentor to join our ERI team. The Elder Reentry Initiative (ERI) Mentor is a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing targeted mentorship to older adults (aged 50+) transitioning from incarceration back into the community. Grounded in the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention (CTI) model, this role utilizes a structured, time-limited case management approach designed to combat institutionalization and foster lasting reentry stability. By engaging participants across three distinct phases—Transition, Try-Out, and Transfer—the Mentor assists with navigating complex community resources, securing housing, employment, benefits, and addressing behavioral and health needs. Mentors are expected to build immediate rapport to mitigate reentry anxiety and execute successful "warm handoffs" to long-term community providers, ensuring participants attain enduring stability, independent functioning, and successful reintegration
