The Peer Mentor for the Fatherhood Matters Initiative will be a key member of the team supporting low-income fathers and helping them become self-sufficient and more connected with their children and community, strengthening their children’s economic, emotional and social futures. Responsibilities will include facilitating parenting skills training and related workshops; organizing community projects; and conducting outreach and recruitment for the Fatherhood Initiative program. The Peer Mentor will be a trusted source of information for program participants, encouraging them and supporting them throughout their participation in the UAU Fatherhood Initiative.
