Peer Mentor I works directly with young adults enrolled in The Arc Lexington’s Transitions program, supporting them as they develop academic, career, life, and independent-living skills. Peer Mentors act as positive role models and provide guidance, encouragement, and support as students navigate new experiences and work toward personal goals. The role includes attending classes with students, helping them build positive relationships, supporting community activities, and encouraging responsible decision-making. Transitions supports high school graduates and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other learning disabilities through hands-on experiences, personalized support, and community involvement. The program operates campuses in Mayfield, Cobleskill, and Albany. This role offers paid training and flexible scheduling opportunities, including day, evening, and weekend shifts. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
