About The Position

The Center for Global Education is seeking a Peer Advisor to provide general administrative and office support. This role involves assisting students and promoting global education programs.

Requirements

  • Little to minimal prior experience
  • Ability to learn support process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

  • No study abroad experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk-ins with good customer service etiquette
  • Answer office main phone line
  • Assist in advising students at the front desk
  • Respond to e-mails
  • Correspond with various constituencies on behalf of Center for Global Education (via email, phone, etc.)
  • Maintain student and program files and data entry
  • Participate in Center for Global Education activities and events
  • Create and/or update displays and other marketing projects (blog posts, print and digital marketing, social media, etc..)
  • Active role in program promotion and student recruitment
  • Lead information sessions
  • Conduct presentations to classes, residence halls, student groups, and clubs
  • Host information tables on-campus
  • Represent Center for Global Education in a professional manner and act as an ambassador for the office
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Assist with projects and goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of the Center for Global Education
