About The Position

Cortica is seeking a part-time Pediatrician to join its multidisciplinary team in Irvine, California. The Pediatrician provides medical care to patients with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences, working collaboratively with clinicians across disciplines to deliver comprehensive care. Care may be provided in person and via telehealth to pediatric and adult patients within Cortica’s clinical scope. The role includes clinical evaluation and decision-making, coordination of referrals, documentation, communication with medical assistants, and participation in clinical collaboration and teaching. A full-time opening is also available for candidates willing to travel to Cortica’s Glendale center.

Requirements

• Completion of four years of medical school at an accredited university.
• Completion of at least three years of U.S.-based residency training in pediatrics.
• Board eligible or board certified in pediatrics.
• Hold and maintain an unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in person and via telehealth to pediatric and adult patients within Cortica’s clinical scope.
• Complete all patient-care activities, including history-taking, examinations, clinical decision-making, order entry, appropriate referrals, and documentation.
• Meet productivity standards, including the expected ratio of new-patient visits to follow-up visits, and sustain a caseload that meets established expectations.
• Complete 80% of encounter documentation on the same day and 100% within two business days.
• Communicate patient care plans to the medical assistant face-to-face after each appointment and respond to patient-care needs within a clinically appropriate time, not exceeding two business days.
• Attend and actively participate in clinical meetings, including Rounds, Case Collaboration, and Medical Faculty meetings, sharing clinical insights and collaborating on treatment plans and care decisions.
• Lead, present, and teach at Weekly Rounds.
• Meet expected standards for patient experience, teammate experience, and patient outcomes, including standards measured by NPS, teammate feedback, and the Whole Child Scorecard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
