About The Position

We are a new, independent pediatric practice in the south-west Las Vegas Valley, built around thoughtful, evidence-based pediatric care, strong relationships with families, and a practice environment that works for the clinicians inside it. This is an outpatient pediatrics role with no hospital call or inpatient responsibility. After-hours responsibilities are limited to a shared telephone triage rotation. As a founding pediatrician, you will have the opportunity to help create the clinical culture from the beginning and watch the practice grow. This role offers the benefits of independent practice and meaningful clinical influence without the administrative burden of owning and operating a medical practice.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics through the ABP or AOBP
  • Active Nevada medical license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensure prior to start
  • Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain
  • Current BLS and PALS certification, or willingness to obtain prior to practice opening
  • Ability to successfully complete credentialing with commercial insurance payers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience practicing in a private or independent pediatric setting
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Interest in the operational and practice-development side of medicine
  • Previous experience opening, growing, or developing a new clinic or practice location
  • Comfort practicing collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and other members of the clinical team

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric primary care from newborn through adolescence, including well-child visits, acute/sick visits, developmental and behavioral screenings, immunizations, sports physicals, preventive care, and chronic condition management
  • Partner with our Nurse Practitioner and clinical support team to provide consistent, evidence-based care
  • Help develop clinical protocols, workflows, visit templates, standing orders, triage guidelines, and patient education standards as we build the practice
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the EHR
  • Participate in a light, shared after-hours telephone triage rotation
  • Serve as a clinical voice in practice decisions as the clinic grows
  • Help establish a collaborative, patient-centered culture for our clinical team

Benefits

  • Base salary: $215,000–$255,000 annually
  • Productivity bonus tied to collections above an established threshold (beginning in month 13)
