Pediatrician - Urgent Care (MD/DO)

KidMed•Stafford, VA
•$100 - $115•Onsite

About The Position

KidMed is hiring full-time and part-time Pediatricians (MD/DO) in Stafford, Virginia, to provide high-quality urgent care for children and young adults. The provider-led practice offers clinician autonomy, clinical support, trained staff, and equipment for treating acute needs from birth through age 25. The role includes opportunities to perform procedures such as laceration repairs, abscess incision and drainage, finger and toe fracture reductions, foreign body removal, and ingrown toenail treatment. Clinicians may evaluate and treat a broad range of conditions, including fever in patients as young as 29 days, anaphylaxis, respiratory distress, cardiac and abdominal concerns, gastrointestinal symptoms, and genitourinary, neurologic, orthopedic, and dermatologic conditions. In-house resources include suction, durable medical equipment, IV fluids, blood draws, injectable medications, and laboratory work. Providers are supported with direct admissions, specialist referrals for same- or next-day follow-up, and relationships with local pediatric specialists. The posted shifts are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Friday, 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM; and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Compensation starts at $100 per hour and rises to $115 per hour based on relevant experience. A productivity-based bonus begins at 2.8 patients per hour; the posting says annual incentives typically add approximately 10–20% to base compensation. Weekend work earns a $5-per-hour shift differential, and additional differentials are offered for holiday coverage. KidMed describes itself as a provider-led, collaborative, respectful, family-focused practice founded by Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians. Its clinics are designed to support clinical autonomy and high-quality pediatric care in a less stressful setting than a hospital emergency room.
