About The Position

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Student Radiologic Technologist to gain hands-on experience. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and is ideal for a student currently enrolled as a 2nd year student in a Radiologic Technology Program. Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in a Radiologic Technology Program.
• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience

• Currently enrolled in an imaging program.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a registered technologist performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
• Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.
