The Department of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a full-time, pediatric sports medicine physician to join our program at a top-ranked children’s hospital. We are a large team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing excellent comprehensive care in a supportive environment. Our multi-disciplinary sports medicine team consists of 3 sports physicians, 2 orthopedic surgeons, 1 nurse practitioner, 40 athletic trainers, 15 physical therapists, a sports psychologist, and sports dietitians. In addition, the Orthopedic Surgery department includes 11 additional surgeons and one non-operative musculoskeletal physician. The department is comprised of the sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. with sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. Children’s Mercy Kansas City is the academic training site for numerous pediatric, family practice, and orthopedic residency programs in the Kansas City area. The ideal candidate should be board certified in pediatrics and has obtained or is eligible for a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine.
