About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join their Speech & Audiology Department at the Avita Galion Hospital. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions for swallowing, cognitive-linguistic, speech, voice, and language disorders. The SLP will work directly with patients, their families, and collaborate with healthcare providers, offering education, counseling, and facilitating additional care as needed.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology
Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist).
BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist
Certificate of competence form the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

Providing appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions in the areas of swallowing, cognitive-linguistic, speech, voice, and language disorders.
Working directly with patients and their families.
Collaborating with healthcare providers in providing education, counseling, and facilitation of additional care/intervention as needed.
