About The Position

Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo is currently seeking a full-time Pediatric Pulmonology physician to join the Division of Pulmonary Medicine. The successful candidate will join a regional group of 6 physicians, one APP, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and social workers. This position will primarily provide clinical care on campus of the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital pursuant to arrangements between Nationwide Children’s – Toledo and ProMedica to increase access to pediatric subspecialty care throughout the region. This is a full-time employed position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonary.
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required.
Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, required.

Responsibilities

Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols.
Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.
Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care.
