About The Position

Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo is seeking a full-time Pediatric Pulmonology physician to join the Division of Pulmonary Medicine. The physician will be part of a regional group of 6 physicians, one APP, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and social workers. This role will primarily focus on clinical care at the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital, aiming to enhance access to pediatric subspecialty care in the region. This is a full-time employed position with a competitive salary and benefits package. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonary is required.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree.
Graduate of an approved Fellowship program.
Medical License in the State of Ohio.
Unrestricted licensed physician.
Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonary.

Responsibilities

Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols.
Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.
Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care.
